Marion Riedl LEATHER ARTS&WORKS

Hi Marion here...

nice,

you're there

Short to me. My passion for craftsmanship and horses led me to leather. I was already working in development at an automotive supplier for leather seats when the opportunity arose to get involved in a saddle workshop. For the next eleven years I made horse and saddle accessories and other small parts out of leather. In my spare time I also started designing and developing leather bags. I now have my own workshop.

Leather:

I buy my smooth cowhide directly in the USA. It's strong enough to hold anything. That's why I use A-summerhides (skins from summer fur) for bridles, belts or the bag straps and handles.

If soft leather is used, I use cowhide or calfskin that is 100% sustainably tanned with olive leaves. All residual materials are 100% recyclable or are reused. The waste water is completely cleaned in a purely biological plant and discharged directly.

The tanning agent oleuropein is so pure that it is also present in extra virgin olive oil. A fine olive scent emanates from the noble leather and bears witness to its organic origin. All skins are of European origin. A particularly expressive surface, a velvety feel and unclosed skin pores ensure a naturally warm leather feel.

custom made:

All of my leather products are unique and handcrafted.

customization:

All my leather products can be custom tuned.

When it comes to quality, material and production, I don't make any compromises.

Western style:

Elements from saddle construction flow into the design and hardware.

Hardware:

I mainly use saddle-making hardware, for example custom made by Jeremiah Watts, for my country-style products. I used neutral, more delicate elements in other styles.

Ornament:

You can choose from different patterns.
